NEW DELHI, June 18 (UNI)—Acting President V.V. Giri today reminded the developed nations of their “great responsibility” towards developing nations. In a broadcast to the nation on the 50th anniversary celebration of the International Labour Organisation, Mr. Giri said “no longer can the isolationist policies of competing nationalisms be considered an ideal — it is essential for the whole world to unite and to work in close cooperation. It has now been recognised that nations do not and cannot live by themselves, but only as part of one world”. Mr. Giri commended the role played by the ILO in this connection and said “it is this organisation that has helped project the one-world idea more than others.”
