Vodafone launches 4G service in Amritsar

Amritsar, February 22

A telecommunication services provider, Vodafone India, launched its SuperNetTM 4G service in Amritsar in presence of Deputy Commissioner Basant Garg today.

The state-of-the-art network will enable customers to access internet via mobile with speeds across a range of smart devices, including Mi-Fi and dongles. Vodafone 4G services can be readily accessed from 4G enabled handsets, offered by leading smartphone manufacturers and available across the country.

Vodafone India business head of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir said, “There is free SIM upgrade to 4G, which comes with 2 GB data free. Amritsar being the spiritual and religious destination famous all over the world has been chosen to launch this service. The 4G has the potential to revolutionise the mobile experience through powerful innovation that impacts how we work and live.”

He said, “Vodafone’s global expertise and experience of launching 4G across 20 countries gives us a better understanding of this technology and needs of the 4G customer. Beginning today, our customers in Amritsar and soon other key towns and cities of Punjab, can enjoy the world’s largest 4G network experience”.
