Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Daad village, romped home as champions in the girls’ (U-17) section in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex (Central) Volleyball Tournament held at Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, here yesterday.

In the final, Guru Gobind Singh Public School got the better of hosts in straight sets (2-0) to lift the winners’ trophy.

Dr Manjit Kaur Makkar, Principal-cum-Director of the school, congratulated the girls on their stupendous performance. She also urged students to take an active part in sports, which inculcate the habits of discipline, hard work, punctuality and determination.
