Family members of Prabhjot Singh, who died in a car accident in Sector 70 today, said their dreams had been shattered. Prabhjot’s relatives said he was engaged to Ravinder Kaur (Ravi), a girl from Hoshiarpur who works in New Zealand. His uncle said, “The two had met each other in New Zealand where Prabhjot had studied for three years. The couple had got engaged when Prabhjot last visited his hometown in Patiala in 2016. He had recently returned to India for a brief period to arrange documents to go back to New Zealand. The couple had decided to settle there.”

Kin said they were waiting for his fiancee to return from New Zealand before conducting the last rites. — TNS
