Tricity based Maya Gardens group launched Maya Gardens Avenues — an exclusive eco-friendly township in Zirakpur on the occasion of World Earth Day earlier this week.
The 5-acre project that will be fully compliant with IGBC norms will have 272 residential units in four 16-storey towers, besides 50 commercial units.
The residential units on offer will be 2 BHK, 3 BHK and 3+1 BHK and penthouses in the price range of Rs42 and Rs72 lakh. The total investment in the project is approximately Rs90 crores and it will be completed within three years.
Giving information about the “green” features of the project Amit Mittal, Director of the group, said, “In developing nations like India, where resources are very few and needs are sky-high, eco concerns gain more relevance. Real estate projects collating with alternate sources of energy can go a long way in stemming problem of depleting resources”.
He said the project will follow green building norms at all stages right from the digging of foundations wherein the top soil layer will be conserved and reused, to the use of construction materials like hollow concrete blocks for better insulation and fittings like reflective tiles on rooftops, glass for facade and four-star ACs in the finished apartments. “Energy efficiency, water conservation, rain water harvesting, solar panels on roofs and provision for large windows will ensure healthy living and saving on energy costs for inhabitants in this project”, added Mittal. —TNS
