Bridging the gap between job aspirations of candidates and skill expectations of hiring companies, professional certification training provider Simplilearn (https://www.simplilearn.com/), has announced the launch of its new value-added service - JobAssist.
JobAssist is a placement assistance service that is aimed at placing Simplilearn graduates in front of the top hiring companies for relevant job openings, based on the industry skill requirements. Simplilearn’s newly set up placement cell will process resumes on behalf of the graduates and showcase them to top hiring companies for listed and un-listed openings for middle, mid-senior, and senior level openings. The company will partner with hiring companies ranging from large enterprises to top ranking start-ups in India. Currently, JobAssist is applicable for professionals getting trained in Big Data, Data Science, and Digital Marketing through Simplilearn’s select online classroom and Master’s courses.Commenting on the launch, Kashyap Dalal, Chief Business Officer, Simplilearn said, “Technical recruitment is becoming a challenge in India. While job portals are not equipped in hiring quality talent across mid to senior levels, companies find it equally challenging to recruit the best skilled talent in high numbers. The launch of JobAssist will allow us to bridge the hiring gap in the job market, as we help companies recruit quality talent with specialised skills in digital technologies.”
Professionals who complete the course along with their projects and hold a final assessment score of 80 per cent are eligible for JobAssist. With the intent of connecting graduates to the top recruiting companies with relevant job openings, the service will be valid for a year from the date of course completion. The profiles of candidates are shortlisted based on their performance and requirement parameters as defined by the hiring company.
Referral programme for job seekers
Online recruitment marketplace Aasaanjobs recently launched its referral programme for job seekers on its platform. Under the programme, which commenced on the January 3, interested active job seekers can refer and recommend their friends and acquaintances for job roles, they themselves are applying for.
Individuals referring a prospective candidate stand a chance to receive a certain amount on their recommendation, if the candidate joins the organisation.
The referral programme will not only make recruiters and hiring managers’ jobs easier, but will also make it possible for employers to get faster closures on hiring processes.
Moreover, candidates will be keen on referring their friends and acquaintances because they themselves are applying for the same job.
The referral programme is only valid for those jobs that need bulk hiring and for which, a candidate would want a friend or a close one to also apply and get appointed.
“Within a week’s time, we have already started receiving more than 100 referrals a day, on an average,” said Siddharth Gupta, VP Marketing AasaanJobs.
As a part of the programme, Aasaanjobs will send referral alerts to those prospective candidates who would have fixed their interview for that particular job. — Agencies
