Death toll in China chemical plant explosion rises to 47

BEIJING: The death toll in the powerful explosion at a chemical plant in eastern China climbed to 47 on Friday as a number of people succumbed to their injuries The blast occurred on Thursday following a fire in a fertiliser factory in a chemical industrial park in Yancheng Jiangsu province according to the government of Xiangshui county

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
