Karachi, April 20
At least nine persons of a family, including women and children, were killed when a van collided head-on with a truck here.
The accident took place in Baldia town of Karachi late yesterday.
Six people were killed instantly while three others succumbed to injuries on their way to hospital after a head-on collision between a van and dumper truck at Hum River Road, Geo News reported today.
The deceased also included two children and three women.
Police have arrested the truck driver believed to be responsible for the accident.
Road accidents are common in Pakistan, most of them caused by rash driving and bad roads.
Last year, 58 persons were killed in a similar road mishap when a bus rammed into a truck in Khairpur district. — PTI
