US President Barack Obama celebrated his 54th birthday at a popular restaurant here with the First Lady and a few close relatives.

Obama and First Lady Michelle skipped long line – which is normally seen outside Rose’s Luxury restaurant, one of Washington’s hottest restaurants.

Giving Obama company was Michelle, who was spotted wearing a knee-length black and white dress, his half-sister Maya Soetoro-Ng and her husband Konrad, his niece Leslie Robinson and senior adviser Valerie Jarrett.

It was not immediately known, what was ordered for dinner, but Rose’s Luxury is known for its pork and litchi salad.

Obama turned 54 on Tuesday.

Michelle had earlier dined at the restaurant in February when she was also able to snag a table without waiting in line.

According to White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, Obama kicked off his birthday celebrations last weekend with his friends at Camp David.
