A viral video of a Syrian refugee boy being bullied and assaulted at a school in Huddersfield has lead to an outpouring of both condemnation and donations.
A crowdfunding page set up soon after the clip went viral has managed to collect more than 30,000 pounds for the boy.
The clip shows some boys follow the 15-year-old boy who already has a hand in a cast, drag him and pin him to the ground, and forcing water into his mouth while saying: “I’ll drown you”.
Huddersfield Police said the attacker, a 16-year-old of the same school, has been charged with assault.
The incident comes in the light of already growing hate crimes in the UK.
Absolutely disgusting. Do something about this urgently. School should be a safe place away from home for all boys and girls !!
