Inspired by Operation Sindoor, Bhojpuri singer and BJP MP from Delhi Manoj Tiwari released a patriotic song titled “Sindoor Ki Lalkar” dedicated to the Indian armed forces on Monday. Within hours of its launch, the song struck a deep chord with audiences.

The emotionally charged 5 minute and 51 second track highlights the strength, sacrifice and struggles of India’s three defence forces — the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. The song’s poster features Tiwari in Army uniform, alongside Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Air Force, symbolising a united front of courage and commitment.

Tiwari has not only lent his voice to the song but is also its lyricist and composer. The music has been arranged by Suraj Biswakarma, with the concept developed by Neelkant Bakshi. The song has been produced by Tiwari’s wife, Surabhi Tiwari.

One of the song’s standout features is its use of the iconic line “Yachna nahi, ab rann hoga” (No more pleas, now there will be war) penned by renowned Hindi poet Ramdhari Singh ‘Dinkar’. The line, which was also featured in the Indian armed forces’ official video on Operation Sindoor during their May 12 press conference, symbolises a decisive moment from the Mahabharata when Lord Krishna, angered by Duryodhan’s refusal for peace, declared that war was inevitable.

Speaking about the song, Tiwari posted on X: “Yachna nahi, ab ran hoga—sangram badha bhishan hoga! This is not just a song, it is a proclamation of bravery. My composition is dedicated to the soldiers. Feel the heartbeat of every soldier through this song.”

Through “Sindoor Ki Lalkar”, Tiwari seeks to evoke the spirit of nationalism and honour the indomitable courage of India’s armed forces.
