Divine deep mala at CT Group

Jalandhar: The campus of CT Group of Institutions shimmered with spiritual brilliance as the staff and students came together to celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas. Thousands of diyas were lit across the campus. The glow of the diyas created an enchanting view that mirrored the essence of the festival - dispelling darkness, spreading light and reminding all of the power of freedom and faith. The Vice Chairman of CT Group, Harpreet Singh, said, “Bandi Chhor Divas is not just a celebration of liberation, it is a reminder that true light lies in compassion and in standing up for righteousness. Each diya we light today symbolises hope, freedom, and the eternal victory of good over evil.”

Celebrations at Tagore school

Jalandhar: The festival of Diwali was celebrated with enthusiasm at Tagore International Smart School. On this occasion, chief guest was Abhay Kumar Jain, Chairman of the Tagore Day Boarding Public School Educational Society, along with Vinod Shashi Jain, the Dean of the school. Principal, teachers and students also participated in the celebrations. Various activities were organised for students, such as rangoli making, diya making, card making and classroom decoration, in which students participated enthusiastically. A colourful cultural programme was also presented by students on the occasion. Different games were organised and students' ramp walk became the main attraction of the event.

Jalandhar: PCM SD College for Women celebrated Diwali with devotion and festive charm. Organised by the central association, the celebration beautifully reflected the spirit of unity, creativity and eco-consciousness. The Department of Fine Arts added to the grandeur by artistically decorating the college campus with vibrant rangolis, glistening diyas and colourful embellishments, creating a radiant festive ambiance. The college also observed a "Clean and green Diwali" pledge ceremony, organised by the Eco Club in collaboration with the Department of Science. Organised with the support of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, under the environment education programme, state nodal agency Punjab State Council for Science and Technology, and CDC, GNDU, the ceremony was held under the able guidance of Samarth Sharma, CEO, National EduTrust of India. More than 30 students enthusiastically participated and took a solemn pledge to celebrate a pollution-free and eco-friendly Diwali by avoiding bursting crackers, minimising waste and adopting sustainable practices.

Rangoli competition at Nobel School

Jalandhar: The festival of Diwali was celebrated in The Nobel School with enthusiasm. During this event, the school premises was filled with colours, excitement and happiness. The day began with the morning assembly, which was presented by students through various activities such as speeches and group songs. A special prayer ceremony was also organised during this event during which Goddess Lakshmi was worshipped. After prayer, students decorated the school with earthen lamps (diyas). To highlight the significance of the festival, a rangoli competition was held, in which various types of rangolis were made. Children from Tagore, Raman, Sen and Teresa houses participated in this competition. Raman House secured the first position, Tagore second position and Sen and Teresa bagged the third spot. Chairman Prof CL Kochhar, Managing Director Kumar Shiv Kochhar, Director Saroj Sharma, Principal Ravinder Kaur, teachers and students enjoyed the event.

Festival of lights celebrated

Jalandhar: The Festival of Lights was celebrated with great enthusiasm and festive spirit on the premises of Shiv Jyoti Public School for students of Classes I to V. The young learners came dressed in formal and traditional attires, adding charm and colour to the celebrations. Teachers beautifully decorated campus with colourful diyas, lights and other materials, creating a joyful festive ambience. Students offered prayers to Maa Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, seeking their blessings for prosperity and happiness. The celebrations also featured lively dance performances by tiny tots, spreading festive joy all around.

Special assembly at The Gurukul

Jalandhar: At The Gurukul School, Diwali was celebrated as a festival of knowledge. The occasion was marked with a special assembly where students enlightened everyone about the significance of Diwali through speeches, poetry recitation and singing. To commemorate the festival, various activities were organised in classrooms including diya decoration competition, bandhanwar making competition and rangoli competition which saw enthusiastic participation from all students. Across all classes, students were encouraged to celebrate Diwali while prioritising environmental conservation.
