Baseball assn organises junior dist championship
The Ludhiana District Baseball Association organised the 16th Junior District Baseball Championship for boys and girls at the Government Girls Senior Secondary Smart School, Gill village, here.
Punjab Baseball Association secretary Harbir Singh gave prizes to winner of the girls teams; while Avtar Singh Gill, Wariyam Singh Gill and Madan Singh Gill distributed prizes to among the boys category.
In the boys section a total 14 teams participated. In final match, PM Shri GSSS, Kasabad, beat BCM, Focal Point, by 6-1. Afroz and Manish scored two runs each, while Sunil and Sahil Das scored one each.
Eleven teams competed in the the girls section. In the final match, GGSS School, Gill, beat PM Shri GSSS, Kasabad, by 10-2. Gaganpreet, Prachi, Anamika, Jaspreet and Phoolwanti scored two runs each. In the match for the third place, GNM Senior Secondary School, Dholewal, beat Dashmesh Senior Secondary school, Janta Nagar, by 9-6. Krishna and Adarsh scored two runs each. Paramveer and Arshdeep scored one run each.
