AIMSR’s Department of Clinical Microbiology successfully launched World AMR Awareness Week 2025 with an engaging “Rendezvous with Micro-Bugs” carnival in Bathinda on November 18. The event was endorsed by Dr Gurpreet Singh Gill, MS Admin.

Under the guidance of Dr Upasana Bhumbla, HOD, the carnival brought together dignitaries, clinicians, para-clinicians, and lab teams to participate in games and activities that promote antibiotic stewardship.

Postgraduate students displayed “microbial art”, and MBBS students showcased 3D micro-organism models. The event effectively highlighted the urgent need to stop unmindful antibiotic prescriptions to preserve life-saving drugs.
