Bathinda: Students of Akal University have performed well in the CSIR NET conducted in December. Simarjeet Kaur from the Zoology Department bagged All-India Rank (AIR) 24. Jaspreet Kaur from the same department secured AIR 19 and Kulwinder Singh from Botany Department secured AIR 90. According to information, a total of 2, 82,116 candidates appeared for the CGIR NET held at 605 centres in 214 cities of the country. Vice-Chancellor Prof Gurmail Singh said Akal University students were acting as a chain of beacons for students of the state. TNS
