Bathinda: Three killed in separate accidents as fog reduces visibility

Three persons were killed in two separate road accidents on the Bathinda-Chandigarh highway on Saturday as dense fog reduced visibility.  One person sustained serious injuries.

In one of the accidents that took place in early hours on Saturday, a car on the way to Bathinda rammed into a truck parked on the roadside near Lehra Mohabbat.

Two of the car occupants — Vans Bansal and Vansh Wadhwa— died on the spot while another person, identified as Rinku Kumar, was seriously injured.

A case has been registered at the Nathana police station against the unidentified truck driver.

In another accident near Chetak Park in Bathinda, a tractor-trailer driver lost his life in a hit by a bus.

The victim, Bhola Singh, had parked his tractor-trailer near the park after it broke down there and was crossing the road when he was hit by the bus.
