Students showcased their athletic prowess during the annual athletic meet being organised at Malwa College on Monday.

Surjit Singh, head, Department of Physical Education, GRC, Bathinda, was the chief guest on the occasion. Gurpreet Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Faridkot, also graced the occasion as guest of honour. Principal BK Garg welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries.

Charanjeet Singh and Shifali were declared as best athletes among boys and girls category, respectively. Maharaja Ranjit Singh House was adjudged as best house.

In 100-meter race, Beant Kaur bagged the first position, Sukhpreet Kaur came second and Sandeep Kaur stood third. In long jump, Shifali bagged the first position, Manpreet Kaur came second and Sandeep Kaur secured the third place. In shot put, Sandeep Kaur bagged the first position, Gursimran Kaur came second and Mispy bagged the third place. In tug-of-war, Maharaja Ranjit Singh House bagged the first position.
