FM announces Rs2 lakh for Indian Idol contestant

Bathinda, February 15

Finance Minister Manpreet Badal on Friday announced financial help of Rs 2 lakh from the state government for Indian Idol contestant Sunny .

Manpreet met Sunny at his residence in Chandigarh and announced the financial help for the repair of his house.

He said Sunny had brought laurels to the city at a national level. Sunny used to earn his living by polishing shoes. He hogged the limelight after being selected in Indian Idol. — TNS
