The police registered a case against Khushmandeep on Tuesday, following a complaint by Shivtar’s brother, Jagtar Singh. Family members alleged that the couple had been facing marital issues despite marrying earlier this year.

Some visitors to the house reported that leftover chapatis had a strong smell of pesticide.
