Bathinda, January 6
Students and faculty members celebrated New Year with fervor and enthusiasm at Saint Kabir Convent Senior Secondary School on Monday.
A special assembly was conducted to mark the occasion. Students staged a play highlighting the importance of education and recited poems. A dance performance of tiny-tots added glitter to the celebration. The school managing director Professor ML Arora and Principal Anju Dogra extended their warm wishes to all the staff and students on the occasion.
Gems Public School
Gems Public School here organised a ‘Welcome 2020’ carnival and the semi-finals of the Miss Little Punjaban contest. A large number of participants from around the city and vicinity participated in the event.
Chief guest Rajiv Arora, station in charge of All India Radio, Bathinda, and other dignitaries and renowned personalities from the city visited the carnival. The carnival showcased art works of school students and wooden toys. Food stalls, face painting contest and dance performance by the students were among the highlights of the carnival.
