Bathinda: Sapandeep Kaur, a second-year MBA student of Punjabi University Regional Centre, has been selected as a product specialist in BYJU. During a placement drive, she took part in a rigorous group discussion followed by a personal interview that was conducted by the HR team of the company. She will join the company after completing her MBA. Balwinder Kaur Sidhu, head, PG Studies Department, congratulated staff members and the student for their sincere efforts. She said it was the first placement from the first MBA batch and by the end of the last semester, other MBA students would also be placed in reputed companies. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
