Tech varsities to hold exit exams on Sept 29

The two tech universities — IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Kapurthala, and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, — have announced to starting exit classes examinations from September 29.

The IKGPTU would conduct exams in the open book mode, while the MRSPTU would conduct online exams by giving 40 MCQ questions per subject to the students.

As per a notice issued by the Controller of Examination, IKGPTU, the final semester regular examinations of April 2020 in Open Book Examination (OBE) mode would be held from September 29 onwards.

Entrance test

Bathinda: Over 83,000 pupils have applied for admission to 1,267 seats at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. The university is offering more than 42 postgraduate and 35 doctoral programmes. The examination is scheduled from September 18 to 20.

The candidates would be required to attempt 50 per cent of the question paper and remaining 50 per cent marks would be on the basis of internal assessment of the subject concerned. Each paper would be of two hours.

The MRSPTU stated in its notice that the examination would be conducted online by giving 40 MCQ questions per subject to the students. The duration of the exams would be one hour, in which the candidate has to attempt the paper and fill all details.

In order to give familiarity about the pattern of the examination, a mock test would be held on September 25. — TNS
