Chandigarh: A blood donation camp was organised by the MITRA, a social welfare club of the University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Panjab University, in collaboration with GMSH, Sector 16. There was a steady stream of donors throughout and more than 70 units of blood were collected. The camp was sponsored by the Design Innovation Centre, Panjab University, and SBI. Design Innovation Centre will be using the database of donors for the development of their app, Red-Aid. TNS

Science Fest at MCM College

Chandigarh: With the aim to introduce young minds to the wonders of science and promoting scientific temper, Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Sector 36, organised its annual science fest today. Sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration, the fest had 'Emerging Trends in Science and Technology' as its theme this year. As many as 240 students from various institutions from across the region participated in the fest. TNS
