October is here, and so is the Fall. While the clothing fashion changes with the season, so does the eyewear fashion. Several luxury brands recently launched their Autumn Winter collections for the year, and we turned to Dayal Opticals owner Navneet Kalra to seek his expert advice on the top eyewear trends for Fall 2021.

According to Navneet Kalra, while a number of styles have been ruling the luxury eyewear arena during the summer months, there has been a slight shift in the styles for the Fall. “Most people are looking for a healthy mix of functionality and fashion, which has been duly acknowledged by the top eyewear brands across the globe,” he says.

 Blue light glasses

Being mindful of your eyesight is officially cool now! According to Navneet Kalra, while glasses were initially seen as a geeky accessory that no one wanted to be seen in, they have now established themselves as uber chic statement pieces. Since more and more people expose themselves to the constant glare of blue light, there has been a rise in the popularity of tinted glasses that are designed to protect the eyes from blue light. There are a variety of blue light glasses available that are edgy, high-end, and on-trend styles emulating the season’s fashion.

 Retro round sunglasses

Over the past two years, Ray Ban’s variety of round sunglasses has become a style statement. The designs continue to rule this year as well, says Navneet Kalra. According to him, retro round sunglasses are classic and timeless designs which are unlikely to be a thing of the past anytime soon. The Dayal Opticals owner suggests buying these designs with gold frame and dark, polarised lenses to get the ultimate retro look this Fall.

  Oversized sunglasses

Oversized sunglasses once used to be a staple eyewear style donned by the rich and famous, but their popularity declined over time. However, these chunky designs are back with a bang, although with a difference. Fall 2021 is all about the big square glasses, says Navneet Kalra. He suggests opting for the classic black to maintain a sophisticated look with an air of mystery, something that the coloured versions fail to provide.
