Is It Really Impossible To Maintain A Balance Between Passion And Profession? Fashion Influencer Ashu Sethi (Indyshades) Talks About It

Many people are enthusiastic and passionate about something or another, but the majority of them believe that establishing a balance between their passion and their vocation is impossible. Ashu Sethi, a fashion influencer, discusses this conundrum and sheds light on some key facets of the issue.

Ashu Sethi (also known as ‘Ashi Sethi’) believes that the rule of thumb is that a profession is something we pursue to earn money and prosper in the corporate world, whereas a passion is something we've enjoyed from the dawn of time and continue to work on for pleasure. Performing, playing instruments, reciting poetry, being an Instagram influencer, Youtube filmmaker, and so on are all examples of the latter. Maintaining a well-defined passion appears to be unachievable while caught up in the 9 to 5 workplace on weekdays and catching up with the project tasks on weekends.  Nothing is, nevertheless, impossible, and  Fashion Influencer Ashu Sethi claims that too!

According to Ashu Sethi (who is on Instagram as @indyshades), the key is moderation and perseverance. Working just for your profession can become a monotonous rhythm after a while. This monotony, if not broken up with a dash of creative expression, can have a huge negative impact on our physical and mental health. As a result, to break free from this cycle, we must rearrange our schedules and devote as much leisure time as possible to our passions. Fashion Influencer Ashu Sethi suggests substituting “Binge-Watch Sundays” with “Work-Up Passion Sundays,” because why not?

On that note, we can pursue our passions in whatever spare time we have, not just on weekends, but also during the week. With technology taking over our lives these days, we may undertake some upskilling here and there, even in our workplaces or 'work-from-home' schedules, to further our passions.

A handful of passions these days, like content marketing on Instagram for small businesses, not only helps the individual doing it but also garners a huge fan base and helps those followers as well. Most of this may be accomplished if we are willing to change our daily routines and have the mental fortitude to embrace our passions alongside our profession. In a nutshell, doing both of these tasks at the same time is not impossible at all. Depending on the strain of your employment, you can delay the list of TO-DOs for your passion to a later date if you don't do it regularly. But never, for your own sake, give it up.

Fashion Influencer Ashu Sethi herself experiences this and so, rightfully advises to seek inspiration from more multitasking people and thought leaders in your lives. In this age of cutthroat competition, being able to sing, dance, create, write, and give your mind some extra space is an asset that should not be overlooked. Several more people even take it a step further and turn their passion into a career. Even though it isn't the rule, you can always blend the two in your life to achieve a healthy balance.
