Over 100 changemakers honoured in the presence of international diplomats and national dignitaries New Delhi: In a rare and meaningful convergence of grassroots impact and global recognition, the ‘Bharat Gaurav Ratna Shri Samman’ ceremony witnessed an inspiring celebration of India’s silent nation-builders—honoured in the presence of ambassadors, high commissioners, and dignitaries from over ten countries.
Held at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, the grand felicitation brought together more than 100 changemakers from across India, representing diverse fields such as social service, women empowerment, cultural preservation, education, and environmental advocacy.
What elevated the ceremony’s stature was the presence of diplomatic representatives from nations including Uruguay, Venezuela, Iraq, Rwanda, Maldives, and Timor-Leste, who joined Indian leaders in acknowledging the contributions of grassroots visionaries. Their participation underlined a growing international appreciation for India’s civic initiatives and cultural values.
Eminent guests such as Prof. Jagdish Mukhi (Former Governor of Assam, Nagaland & Mizoram) and Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha felicitated the awardees, adding to the emotional and celebratory atmosphere.
Dr. Tapan Kumar Rautaray, Director and Convenor of the event, shared: “Recognizing those who serve selflessly is not just our duty—it’s our national responsibility. This platform gives voice and visibility to the true heroes of India.” The event also featured a symposium on cultural harmony and inclusive development, where thought leaders and social activists reflected on pathways to a more just and united society. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of medallions and certificates, affirming the spirit of service and solidarity.
A national initiative committed to honouring exceptional individuals and institutions working at the grassroots, the Parishad promotes the ethos of “Serving Society is Serving the Nation.” Through recognition ceremonies, knowledge platforms, and collective forums, it brings forward India’s unsung torchbearers.
