Apple Watch cellular service for Vodafone users in Punjab



Vodafone customers in Punjab can now use one mobile number for their Apple Watch (GPS + Cellular) and iPhone. The service gives customers the freedom to leave their phone behind and stay connected with just their Apple Watch. The service is now available for Vodafone postpaid customers, including enterprise postpaid, in Punjab. It will continue to be expanded to additional circles in the coming weeks.

Apeejay Institute students to represent India in US

Urvashi Chopra and Smily Sharma - students of Apeejay Institute of Management & Engineering, have brought laurels to the institute by bagging first position and emerging winners of the Tap B-Plan Competition 2020, a joint effort of IKGPTU and TiE, Chandigarh. They will also get a chance to represent India in the US for Global TiE B-Plan Competition. Another student, Manya Wadhera from BBA 1st year was also declared 5th in the same competition.

BHEL successfully commissions World's first Solar PV Plant

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has successfully commissioned a 1.7-MW Solar PV Plant at Bina in Madhya Pradesh for the Indian Railways. The plant will directly feed power to traction systems of the Indian Railways. The project is a landmark achievement in the history of solar power, as this is the first time that solar power is being directly used for traction applications. With this, BHEL has achieved direct injection of single-phase 25 kV power to traction substation of Indian Railways.
