PFC & REC extend term loan of Rs 8,520.46 crore to STPL

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) along and REC Ltd. (REC) have executed an MoU with SJVN Thermal (P) Ltd. (STPL) for extending term loan of Rs 8,520.46 crore for 2×660 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project. STPL is a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN Limited and executing the project.

BHEL sets record with India’s highest-rated auto transformer

BHEL has successfully manufactured and tested (short circuit) India’s highest rating auto transformer at the National High Power Test Laboratory at Bina in Madhya Pradesh. Short circuit test is the most stringent, special type test for power transformers which is conducted to prove the adequacy for power transformers to withstand abnormal conditions of short circuit to ensure reliability during their operations in the field.

Jaypee University organises workshop for engineers

A one-week workshop was recently conducted by the Department of Civil Engineering, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat (HP), in online mode on Sustainable Highway Construction. New Holland strengthens biomass aggregator range

In the wake of crop residue management, New Holland Agriculture has strengthened its range of equipment for harvesting, collecting and transporting biomass. “We have launched Big Baler 890 Plus – large square baler along with T6070 tractor for energy generation, rather than burning residue in the field,” said Sandeep Gupta, business head, Crop Solutions, New Holland Agriculture.
