New Delhi: The government has approved 8.5% rate of interest on employees’ provident fund for the 2020-21 fiscal, a source said. The 8.5% rate of interest on provident fund deposits for the last fiscal was decided by the EPFO’s apex decision-making body Central Board of Trustees headed by Labour Minister in March this year. Core sectors’ output rises 4.4% in Sept

The output of eight core sectors rose 4.4% in September on account of healthy performance by segments like natural gas, refinery products and cement, official data showed on Friday. CPI-IW increases to 123.3 points in Sept

Retail inflation for industrial workers eased to 4.41% in September mainly due to lower prices of certain food items. The All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) for September increased by 0.3 point and stood at 123.3 points compared to 123 points in August. PTI
