Haryana to seek Japanese investments through golf event

Swying away from its usual entrepreneur or investments summit Haryana shall seal the deals on Gold range. Out to strengthen the economic ties with japan and attract more investments especially in auto sector the state government shall organize a Golf networking event on coming 15th February at Classic Golf & Country Club located on Hasanpur -Tauru Road near IMT Manesar. In collaboration with Invest India, a National Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency under DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce the state government is looking forth to bank on the well known love for Golf of Japanese and bond over same. CM Manohar Lal Khattar too shall be participating in the event and may be playing a shot or two with the delegates.

“Since Golf is a popular sport for Japanese business leaders and investors we think this would eb the best way to reach out to them. The event shall provide a perfect environment for both the investors to understand us and we to know their expectations and interests and offer them best we have,” said TVSN Prasad Additional Chief Secretary of Industry and Commerce Department.It may be noted that Japanese are key investors in Country and Haryana but off late reports of these investors seeking or moving out to other states has made government sit up.

” We are one of the best investment options to them. Due to certain natural constraints in the other states, suppliers to anchor units are increasingly looking towards Haryana for more conducive conditions. Ease of living and familiar attributes are key to Japanese companies when identifying sites for their facilities. The proposed golf event will put on display one of the greatest pastimes and indicator of easy living for the Japanese while giving them the opportunity to interact with Government officials at Golf Course,” added Prasad. He said that there is an increasing presence of Japanese companies in Haryana for both manufacturing facilities and Corporate offices. Additionally, several companies from neighboring states are also looking to Haryana for their expansion plans. Mr Prasad said that the officers and officials of Haryana Government, Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, senior officers from Embassy, JETRO, JCCII, Japanese Business Community and CEOs of various Companies from Japan would play in this Golf Networking Event. He said that Haryana is house to units and corporate offices of many Japanese Companies, which include Nidec, Somemiya Holdings, Keihin, TDK, Terra Motors, MUFG, SMBC, Soft Bank, Fast Retailing, Nitto Denko, Panasonic, Daikin, Toshiba, Hitachi, Suzuki, Honda, NEC, Toyota, Murata, Mitsui Chemicals, Rohto Pharmaceuticals etc to name a few.
