Gurugram (Haryana) [India], August 26: IILM University Gurugram signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) with Hungary’s E-Group ICT, marking a new chapter in cross-border innovation in Artificial Intelligence. The event, hosted by IILM, welcomed a distinguished delegation from Hungary led by Mr. Antal Kuthy, CEO and Chairperson of E-Group ICT Corporation, along with Dr. Mahesh Singh, Chief Strategic Advisor, E-Group ICT, and Mr. Levente Kardos, Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of Hungary. The signing has paved the way for joint initiatives in research, academic exchange and industry engagement that will strengthen the digital ecosystem in India and Europe.
During the visit, the MoU signed in alignment with the initiatives of the India–EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) formalised steps towards establishing a Regional AI Factory at IILM University in collaboration with E-Group’s AI Gigafactories in Hungary. The AI Factory will drive innovation in AI-based applications across key sectors such as healthcare, education, finance, and environmental sustainability. It will also build capacity in critical areas, including data ethics, cybersecurity, and sustainable digital infrastructures. The partnership also envisions seminars, workshops, hackathons, student exchange programmes, and innovation-led incubation to foster collaboration between academia and industry.
As part of a brief event at the campus, IILM University also conferred the title of Honorary Professor of Practice upon Mr. Antal Kuthy, in recognition of his significant contributions to advancing global technology and fostering academic collaboration. The event was attended by key representatives of IILM, including Dr. Harivansh Chaturvedi, Pro-Chancellor, IILM University Greater Noida and Director General, IILM Lodhi Road and Dr. Padmakali Banerjee, Vice Chancellor, IILM University Gurugram, whose leadership and guidance continue to inspire IILM’s mission of global academic excellence and innovation.
Both institutions highlighted the long-term impact of the collaboration in shaping future-ready talent and driving research-led solutions. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for students and faculty at IILM, offering them access to cutting-edge research infrastructure and international expertise while contributing to the larger vision of technology-led progress and sustainable innovation.
