Gold glitters to new high of Rs 91,950

Ludhiana: Powered by continued buying by traders ahead of the wedding season and amid strong global cues, gold continued to glitter on Wednesday as well with the prices of precious metal soaring Rs 700 to reach a fresh record high of Rs 91,950 per 10 g in New Delhi. Experts have attributed the gold rally to increased tensions in West Asia and concerns about the US economic slowdown.

Fresh FII buying powers Sensex rise

Ludhiana: Powered by fresh foreign institutional investors (FII) buying and gains in consumer durables and realty shares ahead of the key US Fed policy to be announced later in the day, the stock markets closed higher for the third straight day. The 30-share Sensex soared 147.79 points or 0.20% to settle at 75,449.05. Tata Steel and Zomato were among the major gainers.

Wipro, L&T enter AI tie-up with Nvidia

New Delhi: IT services firms Wipro, TechMahindra, and L&T Technology on Wednesday announced individual partnerships with chipmaking giant Nvidia for AI-based solutions for various industries. These software firms are showcasing the solutions leveraging Nvidia technologies at the US-based chip major’s ongoing annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in California.
