The RBI has imposed a penalty of Rs 36.40 lakh on Kapurthala-based Punjab Gramin Bank (PGB), as the bank failed to transfer eligible unclaimed amounts to the Depositor Education and Awareness Fund within the prescribed timeframe.

California: Apple has agreed to pay USD 95 million to settle a lawsuit accusing the privacy-minded company of deploying its virtual assistant Siri to eavesdrop on people using its iPhone and other trendy devices. The proposed settlement court would resolve a 5-year-old lawsuit.
