Indian CEOs bat for Indo-US trade

A US-based business chamber focused on India, on Tuesday, announced an India chapter to further the Indo-US ties.
The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF)’s “India Executive Leadership Board” comprises Mahesh Palashikar (GE South Asia), Sunil Mehta (Yes Bank), Pallavi Shroff (Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co), Rajiv Memani (Ernst and Young), Mohandas Pai (Manipal Global), Som Satsangi (HPE), Vishal Mahadevia (Warburg Pincus), Bill Blair (Lockheed Martin), Salil Gupte (Boeing), Porush Singh (Mastercard), Sanjay Gupta (Google), N. Venkatram (Deloitte), Shyamal Mukherjee (PwC), Bill Davis (ExxonMobil Gas), Virat Bhatia (Apple India), Kaku Nakhate (Bank of America) and Rashi Dhir (DMD Advocates) as its members.
The USSIPF’s ongoing third Annual Leadership Summit was addressed by External Affairs Minister S Jaishnakar, Commerce Minister Piyush Goel, US Vice-President Mike Pence and US Deputy Secretary of State (Foreign Secretary) Stephen Biegun.
The USISPF was set up in 2017 after its parent body, the US-India Business Council (USIBC), parted ways with the world’s biggest chamber of commerce — the US Chambers of Commerce.
Mukesh Aghi, who was then expelled by the US Chambers of Commerce, now heads the USISPF which has over 20 fortune 500 companies among its members.
“These leaders will help lead a robust dialogue with our key stakeholders in India. Their companies have all made a tremendous contribution to the US-India partnership, and we look forward to growing it further,” he said in a statement.
