New Delhi, January 24

After slipping 1,000 points on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex partially gained the lost ground on Wednesday with a jump of 689.76 points, or 0.98%, to settle at 71,060.31. The day saw the index’s intra-day high and low hovering around this mark. The broader NSE Nifty also closed 215.15 points or 1.01% higher at 21,453.95. On Tuesday, it slid 330.15 points to close at 21,241.65.
