NHPC celebrates International Yoga Day via video-conferencing

NHPC celebrated International Yoga Day across all its power stations, projects and regional offices with full enthusiasm on June 21. It was observed through electronic and digital platforms following ‘Yoga at home, Yoga with Family’ theme in view of the Covid-19 pandemic. AK Singh, CMD, NHPC, along with his family members participated in a mass online yoga session in synchronisation with nationwide live telecast by Doordarshan from 7 am to 7.45 am.

Northern Railway transports 62.5 LT foodgrain in lockdown

To ensure enhanced availability of PDS foodgrain at ration shops across the country in time, Northern Railway moved 2,218 rakes carrying about 62.47 lakh tonnes (LT) of wheat and rice to 18 deficient states from April 1 to June 8 (lockdown period). More than 47.06 LT of rice and 15.4 LT of wheat were transported to various states from Punjab and Haryana. This is 206% higher as compared to last year during the same period.
