NX India Donates School Building in Gujarat to Improve Educational Environment for Rural Children

Nippon Express (India) Private Limited (hereinafter "NX India"), a group company of NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC., has constructed a new school building on the premises of Gokalpura Primary School in Gokalpura Village, located in Gujarat State’s Ahmedabad District, and donated this building in a handover ceremony held on Friday, August 8.

NX India has been continuously engaged in CSR activities to improve facilities, construct classrooms and otherwise enhance educational environments at government schools across India. This latest donation of a school building to Gokalpura Primary School is aimed at providing a comfortable and fulfilling learning environment for rural children and boosting the quality of learning, thereby contributing to the development of future human resources and local communities.

Gokalpura Primary School was established in 1957 and currently has 394 students in first to eighth grades. The existing school building lacks sufficient classrooms, leading to some classes being held outdoors. The newly donated building is a two-story structure with four spacious classrooms. With the completion of the new building, the school will be able to accommodate more children, and local education authorities expect that the next school year will see the student body grow by approximately 30-35% (about 80 students). Higher educational levels and long-term development in this rural community are anticipated.

The NX Group will continue fulfilling its responsibilities for social development by connecting people, companies and communities, and by actively engaging in social contribution activities to help bring about sustainable societies.
