To address genuine difficulties faced by the tax payers, the CBDT said higher TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) or TCS (Tax Collected at Source) rates will be waived for the individuals who died before linking PAN and Aadhaar.

The TDS is deducted at a higher rate when deductee’sPAN has not been linked with Aadhaar. — PTI
