Q.How has the demand for residential properties changed in Chandigarh, in the past few years, and what trends are shaping the future of housing here?

Residential property demand in Chandigarh has surged due to urban expansion, reverse migration, and evolving lifestyle preferences. With space becoming limited, buyers are moving to peripheral areas like Rajpura, Mohali, and Panchkula, where new developments are thriving.

Key trends shaping the future include growing demand for smart, energy-efficient homes, gated communities with essential amenities, and budget-friendly housing for the middle class. With ongoing infrastructure improvements, residential demand in the region is expected to keep rising.

Q.What role does infrastructure development, such as highways and commercial hubs, play in driving real estate growth around Patiala Road?

Infrastructure plays a crucial role in driving real estate growth, and Patiala Road is a prime example of this. The development of national highways, which are 100 feet wide, has significantly improved connectivity, making the area more accessible and attractive for both residential and commercial projects.

With seamless access to key locations like Rajpura, Chandigarh, and the airport within a similar timeframe, Patiala Road is emerging as a major real estate hotspot. The presence of well-planned highways and expanding commercial hubs is fueling rapid urbanisation, making this corridor the next big investment destination.

Q.What are some of your new projects coming up and what are their USPs?

One of our most exciting projects is The Wellness City — a nature-focused, wellness-driven community where we are introducing Senior Citizen Homes and Farmhouses. Our senior homes will provide a dynamic, engaging, and secure environment for older adults.

Alongside this, our farmhouses are designed to meet the rising demand from cities like Delhi and Mumbai for weekend getaways that blend luxury, comfort, and nature. North India’s largest Art of Living Ashram has also been built by us in the Wellness City.

We are also bringing Induspark, a groundbreaking industrial park aimed at attracting global industries to Punjab.

Additionally, our Kurali Project, a thoughtfully planned residential development, is yet another step in our mission to create high-quality, future-ready living spaces.

Q. Builders are now more aware of environment-friendly construction practices. How much of this do you follow in your projects?

At PLPB, we are deeply committed to environmentally-friendly construction practices and sustainable development. We take pride in being the first in India to receive LEED pre-certification, a testament to our dedication to green building standards. Our international architects work meticulously to integrate bioclimatic architecture into each of our projects, ensuring that every construction is not only aesthetically innovative but also environmentally responsible. We aim to create developments that will stand the test of time and be a better place for future generations to live.
