Surat (Gujarat) [India], September 24: The world's largest lab-grown diamond jewellery showroom, Sonani Jewels, was inaugurated by Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil today. Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Shankar Chaudhari was the Chief guest on the occasion, with Surat Mayor Daxesh Mavani, Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gahlaut, Surat District Collector Dr Sourabh Pardhi, and Venus Group Chairman Sevanti Shah as the Guests of Honour.
Located at JCS Arcade on Ghoddod Road, Surat, and spread across 18,000 sq ft over two storeys, Sonani Jewels is the world's largest showroom dedicated to lab-grown diamond jewellery with an inventory of more than 4000 jewellery designs in daily wear as well as bridal categories. An initiative of noted entrepreneur Agastya Sonani, it offers an extensive range of jewellery designs in 18 carat, 14 carat and 9 carat gold, all crafted in the company's own factory to create distinctive and striking pieces.
Speaking on the occasion, Agastya Sonani said, "The future of lab-grown diamonds is bright. Their importance in the fashion, luxury, and royal segments is on the rise due to their unique designs and competitive pricing."
He further said that Sonani Jewels has a 25-year legacy in the diamond industry, beginning with growing diamonds, selling loose diamonds globally, and finally foraying into jewellery manufacturing with both online and offline retail.
The launch of Sonani Jewels' showroom is being celebrated with a three-day inauguration ceremony from September 22 to 24. The festivities began with the grand opening on the morning of September 22, followed by a spectacular jewellery fashion show in the evening. India's top models showcased more than 300 designs in both sequences.
