From offering rent waivers to free workspace experience, co-working space providers in Chandigarh and Punjab are leaving no stone unturned to assist startups and at the same time targeting to reach pre-Covid level occupancy.

“Currently, we are operating at 65 per cent occupancy. To assist entrepreneurs, we are offering 10 to 15 per cent discount on rentals, “said Chiranjeev singh, Founder, Magnet Co-work.

The all-day café & bar chain Social, a part of food and experiences company Impresario Handmade Restaurants, has launched a week-long pan-India campaign called #OpenHouse to give everyone the social works experience.

In Chandigarh and Punjab, there are over a dozen co-working spaces for around 2,000 seats in the private sector. In the public sector, the Software Technology Park of India (STPI) manages around 100 seats in Mohali.

“With situation, our occupancy level has also improved. Earlier, we offered 50% rent waiver to assist the small businesses, “said said Param Kalra, founder, Starthub Nation.
