NEW YORK: Visa and Amazon on Thursday announced they have inked an agreement that allows customers to use Visa cards on Amazon sites worldwide without additional fees. The companies also agreed to collaborate on product and technology initiatives for “innovative payment experiences,” Visa said. AP

Nepal will be the first nation to adopt India’s UPI system, which will play a pivotal role in transforming the digital economy of the neighbouring country, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) said on Thursday. NPCI International Payments Ltd, an arm of NPCI, has partnered with Gateway Payments Service and Manam Infotech to provide for it. PTI

Maruti Suzuki India on Thursday said it has partnered with Quiklyz by Mahindra Finance, for its vehicle subscription programme, Subscribe. Under the partnership, Quiklyz will offer a white plate subscription, wherein the vehicle is registered under the user’s name and hypothecated to the subscription partner. PTI

Gold climbs Rs513, silver jumps Rs190

Gold prices in the national capital on Thursday rallied Rs 513 to Rs 49,738 per 10 grams, reflecting overnight gains in international precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities. Silver zoomed by Rs 190 to Rs 63,222 per kg.
