NHPC records 100% growth in Q3 net profit

NHPC has posted 100% growth in its standalone net profit at Rs 808 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2020 compared to Rs 404 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year. Revenue grew by 23% to Rs 2,294 crore as against Rs 1,860 crore during the corresponding quarter previous year.

Norms relaxed for family pension to disabled survivors

The government has eased income criteria for eligibility of a child/sibling of a deceased government servant/pensioner for grant of family pension under CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972. As per the notification, the child/sibling of the deceased government servant/pensioner, who is suffering from a mental or physical disability, shall be eligible for family pension for life, if his/her overall income, other than family pension, is less than the entitled family pension at ordinary rate i.e. 30% of the last pay drawn by the deceased plus the DA.

PowerGrid posts profit after tax of Rs8,420 crore

PowerGrid Corporation of India has posted profit after tax and total income for the nine months ended December 31, 2020 on a standalone basis at Rs 8,420 crore and Rs 29,822 crore, respectively. On a consolidated basis, the profit after tax and total income are Rs 8,510 crore and Rs 30,007 crore, respectively, registering a growth of 10% and 7%, respectively, with respect to the corresponding period of FY20.
