UT Chief Engineer CB Ojha emphasised the need to reduce dependence on fossil fuels through innovative solutions and collective action.
Speaking at a workshop on decarbonisation and fuel efficiency, organised by the Energy Management Cell, SDA and Engineering Department in association with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Ojha outlined Chandigarh’s vision of becoming a carbon-neutral, net-zero city by 2047 and highlighted the proactive role of the Energy Management Cell in driving energy conservation and sustainable development initiatives.
The workshop witnessed participation of around 60 delegates, including officials from the Transport Departments of Chandigarh and Haryana, engineers, academicians and representatives of various establishments.
