The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), tasked with ensuring security at Delhi Metro stations, proved to be a blessing for two commuters who lost bags containing cash at Dwarka Sector 21 station on the Blue Line and Lal Quila station on the Violet Line.

In the first incident on July 21, Constable (General Duty) Sanjay Gond spotted an unattended bag around 1.25 pm near a counter at Dwarka Sector 21 Metro Station. The bag was immediately secured and subjected to a security inspection.

Upon examination, CISF personnel discovered Rs 5 lakh in cash, along with important documents and some medicines. An announcement was made through the station control room regarding the lost bag. Within 30 to 35 minutes, a commuter approached to claim the bag. After a thorough verification process, the individual was confirmed as the rightful owner. He informed officials that he had accidentally left the bag behind in a rush.

The bag and its contents were safely returned, and the passenger expressed his deep gratitude for the CISF’s prompt and honest response.

Later the same day, in a separate incident at Lal Quila Metro Station, another CISF personnel helped return a lost bag containing Rs 42,000 in cash and other valuables to its owner, who had forgotten it at the station.
