No panic: Idris Elba

British actor Idris Elba confirmed he had tested positive for Covid-19 in a video posted on Twitter on Monday night. In the video, Elba, explains he got tested after realising he was exposed to someone who had also tested positive. Sharing the video, Idris wrote, “This morning I tested positive for COVID-19. I feel OK, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”

Be careful: Kristofer Hivju

Game Of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju, who has also been a part of movies such as Fast & Furious 8 and The Last King, has revealed that he has tested positive for coronavirus. The actor took to Instagram and wrote, “Greetings from Norway! Sorry to say that I, today, have tested positive for COVID19, Coronavirus. My family and I are self-isolating at home for as long as it takes. We are in good health – I only have mild symptoms of a cold.” He further wrote, “I urge all of you to be extremely careful; wash your hands, keep 1.5 meters distance from others, go in quarantine; just do everything you can to stop the virus from spreading.”

Its On surfaces: Olga Kurylenko

Former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko, who starred in Quantum of Solace, has also tested positive for Coronavirus. As soon as the news broke, the actress took to Instagram and wrote a long post that says, “Thank you to everyone who has sent me good wishes, I’m overwhelmed with everyone’s kindness…. In the hospital, an ambulance took me there after I called because my fever was over 39. They took a swab from my throat. For a week my temperature was stable — 38. Sometimes up to 38.5…” She also said that it’s impossible to know from where she got infected and wrote, “It could be anywhere. I could have touched a taxi handle and gotten it from there. It’s on surfaces!”

In isolation: Lucian Grainge

Universal Music Group chief Lucian Grainge, who is one of the most powerful executives in the music business, has tested positive for coronavirus. He is currently under isolation and is receiving treatment at UCLA Medical Centre. Grainge’s Universal Music Group is home to some of music’s brightest international stars including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Drake.

Keep safe: Tom Hanks

The Oscar-winning actor Tom Hanks has been in Australia filming an upcoming Elvis Presley biopic. The actor and his wife, Rita Wilson, were diagnosed with coronavirus last week. Sharing news on his social media, Hanks said he felt like he had a cold, while his wife suffered from chills. The actor wrote, “We Hanks will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach.”

Meanwhile, Hanks and Rita have been discharged from an Australian hospital where they were in isolation since testing positive.

Be mindful: Rachel Matthews

Frozen 2 actor Rachel Matthews has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The 26-year-old actress, who voices Honey Maren in the 2019 Disney animated film, told her Instagram followers that she has been in quarantine for the past week.

“Hey guys, I tested positive for COVID-19 and have been in quarantine the last week. Unsure of what the next step is (been getting mixed info so will keep you posted), but obviously will remain in quarantine until told to do otherwise. I’m feeling better but I will be posting some info that I hope will be helpful to some. Please feel free to reach out and ask me any questions. I really would love to help in any way I can. Again, let’s please be mindful of our decisions – now is the time to be smart and responsible. Let’s take care of one another,” she wrote in her Instagram story on Monday.
