Despite the MC facing the financial crunch, the councillors have approved the proposal for increasing free passes to them from three to 10. The proposal was, however, opposed by the MC Commissioner, who suggested only five passes should be issued to the councillors. However, the House approved 10 free parking passes for them.

Proposals deferred

The House deferred the agenda about enhancing the licence fee for giving permission to erect or re-erect hedges and fences on municipal land. The councillors have referred the issue to a committee for further discussion.

The agenda for compound surcharge at the rate of 10% of water bill has also been referred to the Water Committee With regard to the proposal to implement Haryana Fire And Emergency Services Act, 2022, the councillors said it may be referred to Fire and Emergency Committee.
