The Chandigarh administration is working on a new proposal for a second medical college, UT Adviser Manoj Kumar Parida said at the Republic Day celebrations held at Parade Ground Sector 17 on Sunday.

Parida, who hoisted the national flag and handed awards for various contributions to society, said that medical college intake had been increased from 100 to 150 seats.

The administration had already constructed a new sports complex in Sector 39 to improve the sports infrastructure, and a “world-class” shooting-range was also in the pipeline.
