Chandigarh, December 27

Chandigarh University drubbed Lucknow University 34-0 to seal a spot in the semifinals of the All-India Inter-University Rugby (men) 15's Championship at Panjab University here today.

KIIT Bhubaneswar thrashed Maharishi Arvind University 42-0 in the other quarterfinal.

In the women's competition, Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari University, Jalgaon, blanked hosts Panjab University 15-0 in a Pool C match, while Lucknow University humbled MG Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi, 5-0 in a Pool D contest.

Meanwhile, in the women's rugby 7's competition, Chandigarh University registered a 10-5 win over the University of Kerala in a Pool fixture.

Patliputra University, Patna, drubbed the University of Rajasthan, 20-0 in another Pool a match.

In Pool B, Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari University, Jalgaon, blanked Lucknow University 10-0, while in Pool C, Punjabi University, Patiala, thrashed RTM Nagpur University 27-0.

Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, drubbed Rayalseema University, Kurnool, 31-0 in a Pool D fixture today.
