10-day event on health management starts at PGIMER today

A 10-day International Public Health Management Development Programme will start here from tomorrow.
The programme will be organised by the Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, PGIMER.
This programme is seventh in a series, which caters on building capacity of middle and senior level managers of 161 countries in Asia, Africa, East Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean as well as Pacific and small island countries.
The programme is sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, under the Indian Technical Economic Corporation (ITEC) scheme.
The programme aims to build capacity of middle and senior level managers in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programme operations in context of their respective countries, equip them in management and leadership skills and on appreciating gaps in current health scenario in their countries and envisioning future trends in healthcare management for effective decision making.
As many as 37 middle and senior level participants from 23 countries will be taking part in the event.
